Belated Thanksgiving Pictures

The Day after Thanksgiving we went up to Sierra Madre', a very cute little town North of Pasadena. We went on a hike in Angeles Forest with Adam's Dad and Stepmom.
These are some pictures from the hike.

She is so cute!
After the hike we ventured back into town and had drinks and appetizers at an English Pub where we found English candy and food that we bought for my family back in Oregon.
Thanksgiving day at our house! We hosted again this year and had friends come over. It was a very joyful day filled with lots of laughter and thankfulness for all we have.

Random Pictures from December

Our California Style Christmas Tree-We walked it over from the lot across the street. It actually came all the way from Oregon!
Our good friend Melissa Rooke had her birthday party at an "ice skating" rink at the W in Westwood. The ice skating rink was actually made out of plastic-which of course was another LA experience.

Pretending that we were skating.
Suzi and I at Bel Air's Women's Christmas Tea
Had to include this one...what Briana did in exchange for room and board while she stayed with my parents. She even cut Adam's hair. We love her so much!!!
Adam was our butler at the Tea
My amazing small group at the Tea-Yvonne-farthest on the left hosted for all of us.
Our baby girl enjoying the tree.

Christmas in Oregon and Other...

Adam and I spent this Christmas in Oregon with my entire immediate family. David and Briana were also in Oregon so we had a very full house! While we were home Adam learned how to play BlackHawks on the XBox and some other army game on the PS3, we went golfing in the freezing cold(our fingers were so numb towards the end of the game we could hardly hold the clubs), we played lots of card games, spent a lot of time with family and friends laughing and eating good food and we even danced off Christmas cookies and candy while playing Kathleen's wii game Step Up and Dance 2. During our stay all of the girls learned how to knit from my mom who is amazing!!! Although I was the first the start, I am still on my same scarf while Kathleen has finished a scarf and Briana has finished a scarf and a hat she just started!!
It was such a great time getting to catch-up with family and friends and we even got to see my dear friend Melissa's baby belly!
Hope you enjoy looking through the pictures.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great weekend celebrating with Adam's Dad and Stepmom. They flew into town on Tuesday night and stayed until Saturday. While they were here we played football, went on an amazing hike in Sierra Madre (My new favorite Town!), shopped around Beverly Hills and Santa Monica and ate lots and lots of good food. It was so nice to spend the long weekend with them and our friends. They also spent a lot of time with Kailey and I think they agree that she is one cute little kitty!

Football on Thursday Morning!

We decorated our house Sunday night and trimmed the Tree!

My School Was Re-Named!

Yesterday my school where I worked was re-named to CHIME Institute's Schwarzenegger Community Charter. I know what you are thinking...Schwarzenegger??? Why him??? I thought the same thing at first but after hearing more about his passion for Charter schools and the amazing work of his wife Maria Shriver and her Mother, especially dealing with Special Education It seemed a good fit. As most of you know our school is a model campus for inclusion and we strive hard to make sure that belonging is not something earned but something everyone is granted the moment they walk through our door. We recently merged the middle school and elementary school onto one campus and our old name of CHIME Charter Elementary was no longer appropriate and the word Schwarzenegger is such a great spelling word for the kids! With the help of Maria Shriver we quickly become the new and exciting Schwarzenegger Community Charter. We had a really great re-naming ceremony yesterday where Arnold, his wife, three of his children and other representatives from the state and district came out. I have included some pictures of the big day. The best part was when he left he said, "I'll be back!" The kids loved that part!!!

Adam-Grad School

Adam started his MBA classes at Cal State Channel Islands tonight. He is very excited to be stepping into the role of student-something I am hoping will continue to pass onto me as I continue to embark on my education. ;-)

Happy Fall to you all!!!
